Founder Robert Bair is the creator of many successful startup concepts such as Gringos Locos, Tin & Taco, and now SoDough Square. Growing up in the 313 on "square" pizza, it was only a matter of time before he introduced DSP (Detroit Style Pizza) to the Orlando food scene.
With over 40 years of combined experience in the pizza game, our staff have been professionally trained to craft your pizza exactly like it would be in the Motor city. Welcome to authentic Detroit style pizza!
We begin by baking your Detroit-style pizza in traditional blue steel pans, sourced directly from Michigan, which impart the distinctive characteristics of this unique style. Every component is crafted in-house, including our signature Stanislaus tomato sauce and proprietary brick cheese blend, specifically shredded for SoDough. The true highlight, however, is our high-hydration, authentic Detroit dough. While this pizza is celebrated for many qualities, its standout feature is the "frico" — the caramelized cheese crust that defines its style and flavor.
